Cognitive Impatient is the range of conditions we commonly refer to as Dementia – decline in cognition over and above that normally expected with ageing (basically, we all get a bit slower as we age, but CI/dementias go beyond that).

Chronic Pain has various definitions but in essence its pain which persists beyond the expected healing time for an injury or trauma, or pain which has no obvious link to such injury or trauma.

The National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health, a US organisation, picked up and shared some new research on the links between Cognitive Impairment and Chronic Pain – in essence they make each other worse.
